Summer Picnics

It is time to entertain outdoors!  We all think of having barbecues but don’t forget how fun a great picnic can be.  Send out a festive invitation like this one using Evite.

This Table in a Bag from Crate and Barrel is great to use in your backyard or to take to the park or beach.

These galvanized metal serving pieces will be handy for many uses all summer long!

Invest in some dinnerware that you can use all summer like these from Pier One.  It will save a lot on paper products and help the environment at the same time.

Betty Crocker has some tasty picnic recipes to try like the Picnic Pasta Salad, Layered Summer Pasta Salad, Oven-Fried Picnic Chicken, and Banana-Toffee Picnic Cupcakes.

Picnics are a great way to casually entertain so pack the picnic basket and enjoy the fresh out doors!

End of School Celebrations

It is that time of year that parents have to plan what to do with their kids for the summer.  Before you start stressing over summer events have an end of the year celebration with your child’s class and teachers.  There are so many options in planning something like this.  You can keep it simple and plan a picnic at the park so the kids can play, have a pizza party, celebrate with an awards party or  have a “Welcome Summer” party outside by the pool.

Everyday Celebrating had a great post on School’s Out from Family Fun.

I stumbled upon this great post from Roots and Wings about End of the School Parties.  They have some great ideas for your kids.

Don’t forget to thank your teachers with a special thank you gift.  I love this idea from Tip Junkie.

Here is another idea from Family Fun for your teacher.

Cap off the school year with a day of fun and celebration!
