I recently helped plan a baby shower for a very dear friend. She requested that there not be a theme but we did use some ideas and colors from her nursery theme. She also requested books to start the baby a library so all of the guests brought books along with their gift.

I made this diaper cake with receiving blankets and topped it with a book for the baby.

I made a BABY banner since we still don’t know the name yet. The nursery has butterflies and dragon flies so I added these onsies which were all hung with clothes pins.

We made an advice box that can go in the nursery. We asked all of the guests to leave a note of advise for the mommy-to-be in it.

We served a brunch with tasty sandwiches, fruit, dips, peach tea, mimosa’s and sangria.

I also made labels for the water bottles.

Everyone enjoyed these tasty cupcakes!

For favors, the guests were able to fill a box of candy to take with them.
This was such a great shower filled with laughter and friends. I can’t wait to meet the new bundle of joy!
I love making easy and fun food for parties. Here is a great treat that I am sure I will make for something this year.
