Pottery Barn Mystery Box Challenge

I was so excited to have the opportunity to participate in the Mystery Box Challenge presented by Pottery Barn!  I was chosen with four other bloggers (all whom I admire their talent) to create a holiday display using the ornaments that they provided.  I loved this because I love to use ornaments as centerpieces, in bowls and jars and as accents on garland, mantels and more.

I received an assortment of beautiful ornaments to work with such as mercury glass balls, elegant glass ornaments and wonderful glitter ornaments.  I decided to create a Christmas Cocktail Tasting Party Table.  I used some of the glass ornaments as centerpieces for the table.  I placed the ornaments in different glasses to match the glasses used for the cocktails. The table consists of six different drink options for guests to try.  Each drink station also had an ornament placed on the bottle or in a display glass.  There is a cocktail recipe card displayed at each station so guests can make their own cocktail to taste.  I also used a silver bar tool set from Pottery Barn that is perfect to use at a tasting party.   The holidays are all about glitz and sparkle so I used a silver table runner and chargers and accented the table with crystal garland and beads.

I really enjoyed this challenge and would love for your vote!

A Christmas Eve Dinner

This beautiful Christmas Eve Dinner is from Flavia from Fete a Fete who always puts together a wonderful celebration.  She hosted a last minute dinner for friends who are not able to be with family at the holidays like herself.  It looks like she did a wonderful job to make the holidays just as special no matter who you are celebrating with.  I love the way she incorporated things that she already had. Thank you Flavia for sharing this special holiday memory.
