Start with an invitation that will set the mood for the celebration.

This flower arrangement is gorgeous!  One of my favorite flowers are tulips so the white tulips added with the lilies make a wonderful centerpiece!

Here is a great craft for the kids to make.  These lilies are crafted from hand prints cut out of paper.  This would be great for a kids table centerpiece!

For children’s place cards, use personalized chalk eggs.  I just used plastic eggs and painted them with chalkboard paint.  Add there name or initial to it and then the kids can erase it and make their own designs.

For place mats, use simple scrapbook paper and add a special touch to the plate like these Easter dessert cookies.

Hostess With the Mostess also shared a great kids tablescape that incorporates scrapbook paper.

Remember that the table can look great at an easy and affordable cost!

Red Devil Eggs

1. 3/4-inch red bell pepper strips
2. Half of an egg, sliced lengthwise

Chick Eggs

1. Sprig of flat parsley inserted into a small slit
2. Top third of an egg sliced crosswise
3. Capers
4. Two small bits of carrot
5. Bottom portion of the egg
6. Small round of the egg sliced from the bottom to keep the chick upright
7. Carrot coin with edges trimmed to resemble toes

I love these…

1. 4- by 1/8-inch length of celery soaked in ice water 10 minutes to make it pliable
2. Small sprigs of curly parsley
3. Two-thirds of an egg, sliced crosswise
4. Small round of the egg sliced from the bottom to keep the basket upright

Here is a nest filled with Jordan almonds and the butterfly is added to accent it.

Wire different butterflies onto wine glasses to add another special touch.

A couple of my favorite recipes using watermelons are Watermelon Mojitos and here is the recipe for my Watermelon Summer Salad:

Ingredients:

3/4 cup halved, thinly sliced onion

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1 1/2 quarts seeded, cubed watermelon

3/4 cup crumbled feta cheese

1/2 cup pitted black olive halves

1 cup fresh mint

2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions:

1)  Place the onion slices in a small bowl with the lime juice and let it stand for 10 minutes.

2)  In a large bowl, combine the watermelon cubes, feta cheese, black olives, onions with lime juice and mint.  Drizzle olive oil over it and toss to blend.  Enjoy!!

Here is a colorful way to use jelly beans as spring decorations.

I found a Leftover Easter Candy Cake that you can use your candy to bake.

Make s’mores from left over peeps.  Peeps work great in s’mores because they are very similar to marshmallows. You can use leftover chocolate eggs or bunnies as the chocolate part of the s’more and the peeps as the marshmallow part.

A couple of other ideas would be to chop up chocolate and use it to make chocolate chip cookies; donate it to your school; melt the chocolate for a fondue party; make a trail mix for snacks for kids but add in some nutritional items with the candy; OR

Of course, you can just keep your candy out and enjoy it as much as you would like!!!
