Healthy Easter Baskets

Sometimes Easter baskets are filled with jelly beans and chocolate but make it healthy for your guests this year with veggie and fruit baskets.

These would be great to serve at a Easter celebration or to take as a hostess gift.

S’mores Hot Chocolate

It’s been a chilly week so I decided to whip up a fun drink to warm everyone up.  Here is a tasty S’mores Hot Chocolate.  This has all of the delicious flavors of a s’more in a warm toasty mug.

Make your own favorite hot chocolate for this or you can use mine (I like dark chocolate cocoa).

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, and salt to make your hot chocolate mix.

  3. Scoop 2 tablespoons of the hot chocolate mix into the milk and stir it in until it dissolves.

  5. Then dip the rim into crushed graham crackers.
  6. Fill the mug with the hot chocolate.

  8. Using a kitchen torch to lightly torch the marshmallows. (If you don't have a kitchen torch, you can use a broiler.)
  9. Drizzle with more chocolate syrup and crushed graham crackers.

An Oscar Winning Drink – Gold Rimmed Bellini

I love a little glitz and glamour and this drink definitely has both!

Rim a glass with gold dust stars to make an award winning drink that would be perfect for an Oscar celebration.  Wouldn’t this go great with the gold dusted chocolate truffles that I featured yesterday.

You can find the recipe for this Bellini at Fashionably Bombed.
