Ice Cream Party Ideas and Graeter’s Ice Cream

It’s that time of year when ice cream parties are a great way to celebrate many different occasions.  Ice cream parties are great for an end of school year party, a welcome to summer party and of course a birthday party.  Here are some great things to incorporate into an ice cream party.

* Everyone always love a fun pinata and these would be great for decoration, party favors or breaking for fun.  Find the tutorial for this at Oh Happy Day.

*  Entertain in style with these mini wood ice cream spoons from The TomKat Studio.

*  Instead of a plain vase of flowers, use carnations to make an ice cream arrangement like this from The Kitchn.

*  Grab some tissue and make these fun centerpieces from These are the Days.

*  It’s always nice to have a nice collection of ice cream bowls for those hot summer days like these.

Now of course if you are hosting an ice cream party then you have to serve great ice cream.

I was lucky enough to get to try the new black cherry chocolate chip ice cream from Graeter’s and it was WONDERFUL.  I didn’t know how much I would like it because I usually don’t eat a lot of flavored ice cream but this was delicious and everyone in my family liked it just as much as I did.  This flavor was creamy and full of cherry’s and dark chocolate.  I had not tried Graeter’s ice cream before but now I can’t wait to try some of the other flavors.  If you are planning an ice cream party soon or if you just need a late night tasty treat then I would definitely recommend trying some of Graeter’s ice cream!

Rope It Up

There are so many themes that you can incorporate rope into the decor.  A few ideas would be a “Tie the Knot” wedding shower, nautical party or a western party.  There are also many DIY rope projects and great rope products in stores.  Here are a few of my favorite “rope” ideas.

Rope Pillar Candles from Pottery Barn – These would be great as a centerpiece for a nautical or beach party.

Roped Ice Bucket and Tongs - a great accent piece to set out in a drink station

David Stark Rope Bowl – use this to place fruit, flowers and more to go with your party decor

Bee Hive Centerpiece – great idea for a queen bee party, a What Will it Bee gender reveal party, bee birthday party and more

Glass Floats – great decor to hang at a party

Rope Knot Table Lamp – light up the party with a great festive lamp like this one from Pottery Barn

Entertaining Gifts

Honor the entertainer in your life with these great gift ideas.

1.  When you like to entertain, I don’t think that you can ever have too many serving dishes.  If you are just starting to collect serving dishes I would suggest starting with a basic white dish that you can use for many occasions.

2.  I just adore this Cuisinart Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker!  This is great for kids parties, summer parties and just to enjoy some great ice cream.

3.  Any great hostess will be organized as they plan for a celebration.  I have always been someone who LOVES a great planner and this personalized planner from Tiny Prints would be such a great gift.

4.  This bar set from Pottery Barn is a great accessory for a cocktail party.  You can see mine in my design for the Mystery Box Challenge from Pottery Barn.

5.  Let your guests snack and enjoy wine at the same time with these Cocktail Trays and Wine Holder Plates.
