Festive S’mores Pops

Here is a quick and tasty treat that you can make for your July 4th celebration.

I have seen many different versions of this type of treat but this is what I did.

Holiday S’mores Pops

Ingredients:
marshmallows
melting chocolate
graham crackers
sprinkles
lollipop sticks

  • Crush the graham crackers and add colored sprinkles.
  • Put a lollipop stick in each marshmallow.
  • Dip them in chocolate and then in graham crackers.
  • I suggest putting them on a cookie sheet and then placing them in the fridge to set.

Here is a free download of the “Celebrate S’more” tag.  (I am not a graphic designer like some of these wonderful creative women but I decided to have a little fun and try something!)

Enjoy!

Custom Inspiration Board – Princess and the Frog

I had a request for a Princess and the Frog birthday party.  Here is an inspiration board that I created for her.

Ideas for the party:

Color Schemes: You could use a couple of different color schemes when planning this party.  You could use blue and green or use mardi gras colors (green, purple and gold)

Games/Activities:

  • Crown toss – Have the guests see if they can throw the crown on a royal thrown.
  • Jewel Hunt – Give the guests a purse or decorated bag and have them search for the royal jewels.
  • Decorate tiaras or make mardi gras masks

Party Food:

  • Facilier’s Evil Potion. Make a green punch (lime aide and ginger ale)
  • Mama Oldie’s Good Potion (pink lemonade)
  • Beignets or  …powdered donuts!
  • Diner food (like where Tiana is a waitress) Burgers, fries, etc.

Favors:

  • Have a candy bar in the color scheme that you are using.  Make a sign to “Make Your Own SWEET Gumbo” and let the kids fill up cups or bowls full of candy to take home.
  • Princess Wand
  • Fill a bag full of gummy frogs and Hershey’s Kisses.

DIY cookie favor

I love great DIY favors for weddings and showers.  Here is a great idea for wrapping a cookie in decorative paper.  This would be great for a wedding, a bridal shower or a baby shower.

Paper Cookie Wrapper Wedding Favor

To create the lovely cookie favor wrappers, you will need:

  • Favor tags
  • Ribbon
  • Decorative pliable paper (handmade paper works well)
  • Scalloped-edge scissors

Here is an easy idea for decorating using votive candles.

Lace Wrapped Votive Holders

Lace-wrapped votives add a vintage touch to any tabletop.

  1. Measure lace against votive by wrapping around (straight-sided votive holders work best for this project).  Leave 1/2″ of overlap and cut lace to desired length.
  2. Secure one end of lace to votive with double-sided tape.
  3. Wrap around votive and secure other end with double-sided tape.
