Blue’s Clue Party

Here is a look back at a party from the past.  This was my daughter’s 3rd birthday.  She wanted a Blue’s Clue Party so a Blue’s party we had.

As you entered the house, I had blue paw prints made with chalk leading to the front door with blue balloons.

Each activity was given by using clues.  After the kids figured out what the clue was they had to find what the game or activity was.  For activities given by the clues, the kids decorated dog bone cookies with blue icing and sprinkles.  We also had sand bucket races in which two teams had to fill buckets with sand relay style.  We also had a game where two teams had to pass a newspaper under their neck to each other and the first team to finish wins.  After the games kids figured out “Blue’s Clues” and got to hit a BIG pinata.

I made blue paw prints to lay out on the table.  I used blue dog bowls as serving dishes and put Puppy Chow (a chocolate chex mix) in them to eat.

For favors, I make personalized buckets with a blue dog and other fun blue treats.

Garden Theme Surprise Birthday Party

This past weekend we celebrated my moms birthday.  We had a surprise party filled with garden elements for her.

The table was decorated with a lemon cake, favors and garden tools.

I made pots with my mother’s initial on it and attached flowers to the front.  Each pot had a packet of seeds in it for all of the guests to take home.

These are gluten free brownies with toppers of my mothers baby picture.

My mothers favorite color is blue so to stay with the garden theme and the color blue, I made different candle centerpieces for the tables.  Some were filled with rocks and others were filled with blue water.

For the food, I used gardening pots to display a lot of the food.  This is a cheese log and crackers that are served on terra cotta saucers.  The silverware was also placed in a pot with a baby picture on it.

As appetizers, we had fruit, caprese sticks, cheese and cucumber sandwiches.  I put fences with labels in the fruit dip and cucumber sandwiches.

For lunch we served sirloin sliders which I forgot to take a picture of.  My mom was surprised with other gifts after everyone ate.

We had family and friends to enjoy the celebration and I think that everyone had a great time!
