Tennis Party – Friar Tuck Cup

I fell in love with this party when I saw it and secretly wish I could have been a guest to enjoy this exciting scene :)

Christi from P is for Party shared this wonderful Friar Tuck Cup Party.  There was a tennis tournament before this elaborate event.  After the tournament the tennis court was turned into a preppy lounge area and dance floor.

The tables were set with ghost chairs and different styles of banquettes to create lounge areas throughout the space.

I love how flip flops were available for the guests who wanted to get more comfortable or forgot that they could not wear heels on the court.

These are such unique favors to hand out.  The guests were given tennis ball cans filled with sweet potato chips with powdered sugar.  Sounds delicious!!!

Going to the Army / Operation Give Thanks

We recently just gave my nephew a going away party since he was going to basic training for the army.

Pam from Party Starters made these great cupcake toppers and water bottle labels.  Not only are they adorable but she got them to me VERY fast!  Be sure to check out all of her great items for sell in her Etsy shop!

Since I am on the subject of military today, I also want to make sure that everyone knows about Operation Shower.  I have seen such wonderful things done for Operation Shower from Amy at Stem Parties and now she is promoting Operation Give Thanks. Amy posted… “We are asking people across the nation to host a party, big or small, between now and the end of the year to raise money for Operation Shower.  It’s as simple as this…every $250 you raise will help us provide a baby shower experience for a deserving military mom-to-be.”

More details and printables can be found here.  Isn’t this a great way to help the families that help our families every day!

I am so proud of my nephew for his new adventure in his life and I appreciate the families who sacrifice so much for all of us to have the freedoms that we enjoy!
